From December 1st to 31st, celebrate the season in style with Minami Toronto’s five-course Holiday Kaiseki Tasting Menu, artfully curated by Head Chef Nao Akutagawa. This elegant dining experience captures the spirit of the holidays through refined craftsmanship, luxurious ingredients, and the harmony of Japanese fine dining.

Begin with the Snow Crab Monaka — a delicate monaka shell filled with snow crab, brown butter, daikon radish, dried apricot, and nasturtium, paired with the bright effervescence of Santa Margherita Prosecco from Italy. The journey continues with a beautifully plated Scallop Crudo, featuring Hokkaido scallop dressed in coconut saikyo miso sauce, basil oil, and topped with kaluga caviar, purple ninja radish, and pickled Anaheim pepper — complemented by Forstreiter Grüner Veltliner from Austria.

The Sushi Course showcases six exquisite pieces that balance tradition and artistry: Braised Wagyu Roll with lemon aioli and pickled vegetables, Smoked Salmon Bacon Oshi Bite, Uni Toro Don with ikura, uni, and toro, Aburi Oshi Duo featuring ebi and hamachi oshi, and Aburi Nigiri Duo with maguro and madai nigiri, paired with Urakasumi Honjikomi Honjozo sake from Japan. The main course, Soy-braised Pork Belly, delights with tender layers of flavour — roasted parsnip purée, chicharrón, roasted plum, charred gem lettuce, caramel apple gastrique, and grape — perfectly paired with Two Hands Shiraz from Australia.

Conclude your festive evening with a showstopping Vanilla Bean Cheesecake crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Aiko Uchigoshi, featuring white chocolate cinnamon crumble, fig and berry confiture, and matcha ice cream — a sweet finale that captures the essence of winter indulgence.

Each course is enhanced by an optional Premium Wine & Sake Pairing, expertly curated by Beverage Manager Angela Allan. The Holiday Kaiseki is priced at $110 per guest, with the Premium Wine & Sake Pairing available for $45.
